Boot Black

The fetish of leather is so deeply explored and is so well defined in this scorching video that it's almost like a documentary. But, it's not! The Boot Black does that too, when he's not spit-shining some boots. Most of these guys don't have much of anything on, and their pockets aren't too deep either, so it's a great safe-sex message when a condom pops out of a stud's sock just when he's about to have anonymous sex.

Speaking of anonymous, Zak Spears is almost lost in this sex club and yet he has one of the best scenes, where he's sloshing his beer all over his furry body and his monster cock while in that famous back room. Newcomer Rob Costa demonstrates a penis pump and Dallas Taylor will rack up a whole slew of new fans when they see his new, rugged, nasty look and very buffed body. The shadows and lighting are artfully accomplished, with spots and overhead beams so incredibly well-placed that none of the sex is lost despite very dark surrounds. The editing by Tab Lloyd is incredibly well-timed to lively throbbing music by Chris Green.

One of the biggest problems that keeps this from being a total classic is the lack of any character interaction other than sex. I know that's supposed to be the point — the tough leather scene that is supposed to just ooze attitude — but the video depends too much on voiceovers, and it gets tedious. Some of the plot could've been carried over with some actual dialogue between the guys. Also, the settings, despite the moody, dark, raw look, get boring since they're practically all in the same room with just a different angle.

Overall, this is undoubtedly going to be one of the year's best rentals, and it could go in both mainstream gay or just as easily in the fetish section of any video store.
